Compression Springs

Compression springs are used to resist applied compression forces or to store energy in the push mode. They may be a straight cylindrical spring, conical, barrel, or hourglass with or without variable spacing between coils. The ends may be opened or closed. Compression springs ends are often ground to increase operational life and to allow the spring to sit square.
